Event: Beach Tours

Join the Museum’s Director, Dr. Tim Fedak, for this special guided tour of the important dinosaur research site at Wasson Bluff. Walk on the ocean floor and travel back in time while looking at the rocks in the cliff that were formed 200 million years ago. The tour provides a special behind the scenes experience to dinosaur research that is ongoing right here in Nova Scotia’s Bay of Fundy.

Walks are $25 per person with Children under 12 free.
Join Museum Interpreters for a guided beach tour at Wasson Bluff. The rocks at Wasson Bluff reveal clues about the formation of Pangea, ancient seas and coal swamps, and a rift valley that was home to some of Canada’s oldest dinosaurs. Jurassic-age red sediments, volcanic talus, river channels, lake deposits and wind blown sand dunes contain the bones of animals from the Dawn of the Dinosaurs. Sunday, July 26th, 1 pm Cost $10 per person
