Event: Gingerbread Festival in Chester
Sun, Nov 27, 2016 to Mon, Dec 12, 2016
Celebrate the Yuletide season as the smell of gingerbread wafts through the village of Chester. Santa never misses the tree lighting and carol-sing that happens on Friday, opening night. So join him as he rides in on...well that's a surprise... ! The Gingerbread Exhibition, whimsical and magical to see and experience for all ages is presented by the Chester Art Centre on weekends until mid- December. The Gingerbread Creations have to be seen to be believed. The Chester Playhouse joins in the spirit with two plays. The children’s play is a delight and the adult one, usually written by local playwright Malcolm Calloway is bound to tickle your funny bone . While you are here, shop at the Victorian Christmas Craft Fair at Lordly House Museum and with our local artistic village merchants, who co-sponsor the festival. We invite you to join in the fun, eat great food in our cafes, restaurants and pub and hey, why not cozy up and sleep over at the inn there is lots to do.
If you are in the hood mid - November stop in to see the Gingerbread Bonspiel and shop at the Gingerbread Craft Fair at the Chester and Area Middle School.
