A certain satisfaction comes from gathering your next meal with your own hands, and fourth generation sea farmer, Charles Purdy will help you maximize your clam bounty.

Charles will explain the ins and outs of quahog farming and how Malagash Bay became such a rich habitat for shellfish. He'll also give you a tour of his shellfish hatchery and processing facility, before leading you down to the shore to start digging.

Cost for 1-4 people is $20, plus $1 per pound of harvested quahogs. Shovels and buckets are provided.

Picnic tables available on site.

Conditions: Reservations must be made at least 24 hours in advance. Weather permitting and dependent on tide.
