Pjila’si – Eskasoni First Nation welcomes you to take a cultural journey into the traditional life of the Mi’kmaq.
Your journey starts on Goat Island, where you’ll take part in a smudging ceremony. From here, you’ll join our heritage interpreters aboard an outfitted fishing vessel to learn about traditional fishing practices on the Bras d'Or Lake, designated a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.
Back on shore, you’ll savour a traditional feast with a cultural performance and a lesson in dance. Listen to the sounds of the music, drums and language, while learning about ancient traditions and ceremonies.
