Description:

Join us for a two-hour paddle along the Sissiboo River at sunset. Departing from Hinterland’s base in Weymouth Mills paddle to the Village of Weymouth, we’ll paddle into the sunset then return as the full moon is rising. There is the opportunity to see Bald eagles or ducks. Once darkness falls, you may hear the hoot of an owl as a clear night reveals a sky of stars.

After paddling, we’ll gather on our patio for a hotdog and marshmallow roast. Pop and water is provided, as well as hot chocolate on cool evenings.

We provide both kayaks and canoes. However, you are welcome to bring your own. Tour participants are to arrive between 7:30pm and 8:30pm, depending upon the month and the length of day. Arrival time and details about what to bring will be provided when you e-mail or call to book. The tour guides will provide a brief instruction and make sure all participants are comfortably in their boats before heading out on the river.

Hinterland Adventures has a team of knowledgeable, dedicated guides and instructors, assistants and support staff. Our tour leaders have professional leadership training in Outdoor Leadership Development - including provincial certification in Wilderness Navigation, Survival, Emergency Procedures and Remote Wilderness First Aid. They also have CPR and Saint John Ambulance Wilderness First Aid.
