Package: Fundy Explorer Day Tour
Fri, Apr 15, 2016 to Sat, Oct 15, 2016
We take you sea kayaking at the northern end of the spectacular Cape Chignecto Provincial Park, where the coastline is incredibly scenic and we are surrounded by pure wilderness. Launching from the red sands at Spicer's Cove, the cliffs become increasingly dramatic as we paddle further along the park's shoreline, and we might spot seals and eagles along the way. The highlights of this tour include the famous Three Sisters sea stacks, a natural amphitheatre that nicely amplifies your voice, lava tubes and other evidence of the separation of the continents, a small sea cave, steep red cliffs and holes-in-the-rock. We stop for lunch on a pristine beach on a tidal river mouth that was bustling with shipbuilding activities during the Age of Sail, and is now a haven of peace. The return paddle will have your jaws drop as you experience how quickly the water level changes - after all, we're talking the biggest tides in the world!
