The town of Yarmouth is known for its fresh seafood and is located in the world’s largest lobster fishing grounds. If you are looking to taste the freshest lobster around, and learn the story behind the seafood, this experience is for you!

Join us at 4:30 p.m. every Tuesday from June 30th to September 15th behind Rudder’s Seafood Restaurant and Brew Pub where you will get onboard a real lobster fishing boat that will stay docked at the marina. Once aboard, you will get to chat with a local lobster fisherman or fisherwoman, learn some tricks of the trade, hear a fish tale or two and even try your hand at splicing rope.

After learning the story behind the seafood, it’s time to eat! Choose your lobster and boil it right on the wharf with a little help from the friendly staff at Rudder’s all while listening to great local Acadian music. The lobster is served with all the fixins’ and you can choose from a great selection of Nova Scotian wines and Rudder’s beer (brewed on site) to purchase with your meal. Other fresh seafood, such as mussels and clams, will be available for purchase depending on availability.
