Our gallery is located 219 Main Street in Liverpool. It is situated in Old Town Hall. We are a gallery that showcases Acadia First Nation artists as well as First Nations artists from across Nova Scotia and other parts of Canada. We also house some of the artifacts from the Mersey River collection that is housed in Museum of Natural History in Halifax. These artifacts were taken from the river in 2004 when NS Power was working on the dams. In our gallery you will also find personal collections of old baskets and other items. We have a small gift shop where you can purchase our First Nation Flag, books, crafts and other items. Our gallery is a place to learn about our culture and traditions through the stories behind the artifacts and how they were used to live on the land in earlier times. The contemporary artwork on the walls mixed with the traditional crafts and the history of the past make our gallery unique. We will hold workshops throughout the year and during the summer have artists in house and children’s free craft day once a week. Please take the time when you are in the area to drop in and visit. Admission is free and we welcome all.
