Nelson Memorial Park is a 47-acre day-use park located 2 km west of Tatamagouche on Tatamagouche Bay in the Northumberland Shore region. Park facilities include 3 large picnic shelters with barbecues, playground, floral gardens and washrooms. Located on Tatamagouche Bay, the park has views of and access to the ocean/beach. Enjoy a stroll through the forest and fields on the 1.5 km walking path in the park, or explore the 26-km Butter Trail (part of the Trans Canada Trail) which passes through the park on the former route of the Shortline Railway. The Butter Trail is great for cycling and long-distance running. Walkers are welcome in the park year-round.
