Taste of Nova Scotia 2015 Prestige Award Winner – Restaurant of the Year Chef-Inspired Casual Dining Eastlink Magazine – Nova Scotia’s Best Best Inn 2015 Take yourself on a getaway to the heart of Nova Scotia’s farming country. This historic building is a local food hub and community gathering place featuring a charming 4-star Inn. Guest may enjoy the many onsite amenities including the licensed Restaurant, a stunning Cookery School, an Art Gallery, and a Gourmet Food Shop. New in 2016, Otis & Clementine have opened a Used Book Store in the former hardware store.
Our 4-Star Inn is renovated and updated throughout. The Inn includes four well-appointed guest rooms, a TV lounge, a cozy common room with a wood stove and private Inn entrances. Our inn and restaurant are open year-round and in the warner seasons you may enjoy the view of the gardens, frog pond and the escapades of the resident chickens from our licensed patio.
We are located just an hour from Halifax, Truro, Chester and the Annapolis Valley, where rural Nova Scotia meets the Bay of Fundy. Local attractions include Burntcoat Head Park (site of the world’s highest recorded tides), the Walton Lighthouse, The Cheverie Marsh Trail, Avondale Sky Winery and Meander River Farm & Brewery.
The guest rooms were fully updated in 2014 and are comfortable and well-appointed. Rooms 1 & 4 have 4 pc bathrooms and are available with either 2 twin beds or 1 king bed. Rooms 2 & 3 each have a queen bed and a 3 pc (shower, room 2) and 4 pc (room 3) bathroom. Rooms 2 & 3 share a second-floor deck. All of our guest rooms have access to free wireless internet, hair driers and clock radios.
